Happy Tuesday

Hello. This is a picture of me this September. My husband and I went to a farm market for the day. I have kind of a weird look on my face!
I knitted a giant mitten for a Christmas gift. It's about 17 inches long. Now I am knitting teeny tiny ones and I will post the pattern here because I adapted it from another pattern. The mittens are cute hanging from a Christmas tree or on a wreath.
I found this book at an antiques mall. It is one of the best old crafts books I have found. Packed with very creative ideas.

Above: I made a nest for myself on the blue chair so I could hold Sam without getting cold! She has her own nest close to the chair.
The garden is put to rest for the winter. I have to collect more zinnia seeds.
This is the large fruited crabapple tree in our yard. I know I can make jam from the apples but I have not done it yet. I found a baby tree from this one and I planted it last spring. It's a beautiful tree and lots of birds love the fruit.

I hope your week is going well!
Thank you for your visit...

I wish I could wear hats as well as you do. What a great picture! Only you would think to build yourself a nest! I love it! And I love seeing the garden put to rest for the winter. I am sure good things are going on under all those leaves and straw.

Late as usual, but at least your comments aren't embedded, so I don't have to search for an alternate way to leave you a comment.

You are beautiful. You could be a model, Debra.

I have two of those old Family craft books. Somehow I didn't find them as interesting as you found yours. I just never found anything that fit my style.

Love your nest for you (and Sam). Also LOVE the Bazooka sign on your fence. What an exciting place you must have.

And of course, I love your garden and the beautiful "sculptures" you have added. I've never eaten a crab apple. I thought they were poisonous, but they don't look anything like what I'm thinking of. It just hit me. I was thinking of HEDGE apples (DUH)!

Again, sorry to be late visiting. I hope you are also well.

I love your selfie. You know the pose would look lovely in a painting! Hi to Sam. You picked up a really inspiring craft book at the mall. I haven't ventured into town for 2 years!!! I love looking around second hand stores ... hopefully in the Spring I will get around to it again!

Greetings to you... your summer hat is great, what a beautiful photo. i love hats.
My week is great, I started a project - sewing :-)) - and today the sun is shining its most beautiful smile, it has snowed here, so the landscape looks like a fairy tale.
Happy weekend to you. p.s. I also feel like knitting gloves.

Oh sweet friend loved seeing your face when I came to visit. It is hard to believe that September days are past. Your garden looks great put to bed. Unfortunately mine is not looking the same. I will say though hubby and I are done with the leaves and that makes a record - I think- because this year it seemed like they all fell at once. Hoping next week can get some warmer temps that will allow me to clean up some of the veggie patch. Take care friend and have a lovely Thanksgiving. Hugs!

Hello dear friend!
You look as you had some nice secrets in your head. Thank you for sharing it and the pictures from Sam and your lovely garden.
I hope your late autumn is going under the good stars, and your big mitten is full of nice gift to all of you and yours xx

That is a lovely photo of you, Debra. I'm smiling at your little nest on the chair. I imagine that keeps that seat much warmer. :) As always I enjoy your pictures. Everything is brown here now, and our yard has the feel of all having been put to rest. Oddly, I know snow will bring it to life again. Speaking of which... I'm thinking it might be time to start filling the bird feeders.

I like the picture of you in the hat. Oh, and I love the picture of you and your husband, in your last post. I love hats and don't have the nerve to wear one. My daughter Lynn has always worn hats and she really looks good in them, like you. Your crabapple tree is so pretty. Debra, I'm so glad you are feeling better.
