Bird painting challenge day 3

 Here he or she is.
The photo I used as a reference came from Pixabay.
I may not post my painting challenges everyday, but I'll paint each day and catch up sometime later on.
I use M. Graham gouache, and just started using some Winsor & Newton Designer's gouache. Since I'm used to the M. Graham, I find the W&N to be a bit sticky. But of course the pigment load is great.
It's never a good idea to get cheap paint (I'm thinking "Reeves" here). Sorry to get personal, but I've used it and it's a waste of money.

A great Day 3, Debra! I particularly love the eye and the beak:)
And I've also learned the hard way that buying cheap paint is a waste of money:(

Oh how I wish I could come paint with you. Would we not have the best time. Another successful painting friend. Hugs!

Hi Barbara. It's a challenge I created just to get myself back into daily painting. If you decide to join me, I'll put a link to your blog in my post. Hope you do!

I wish so too!

Nice work and workplace! Love the table in front of the window. I love seeing where other folks work, especially when their work space looks so cozy. :)
