My finished art piece. I liked doing this. It's nice to get back to sewing again!
Crab apple branch from our yard. Some whittling, and a seed branch from velvet leaf.





 Beautiful goldenrod.

I love your sewing too-and wow I would be in heaven with all that goldenrod-it makes a gorgeous yellow natural dye It took be a third year of trying to discover what I did wrong to not get the lovely yellows

Debra, I had gone wandering back through your blog posts, and, intending to comment on this current post, actually wrote on the August 24th post. You certainly still have the feel for stitching for your bird is just awesome!

Will the Bird be on a denim Tote or a Jacket? Beautiful work. On the front of a denim tunic would be nice as well.

Ok, now don't get mad, promise. When I first looked at it I saw a goat. That is probably because right now my mind is always just a little fixed on Billy our little boy goat that broke his leg. Of all the farm animals recently acquired, Billie has my heart. (he is mostly black with a little white). Then I looked again and a bird appeared. SMH at myself. Love the bird and now that I see it's a bird I can't see a goat anymore. A trick of the eye.
