Be kind on purpose.

News of the world as the day goes by is worse and worse. Yes, I know it's not considered good blog etiquette( I have no idea how to spell that word-sorry) to be negative. :(

As I type this I'm hearing the threat of nuclear weapons being used by Russia.

I just want to hug my goose and bury my face in her feathers (she lets me do it too).
I just want life to be -what? Normal again? I don't even know what to say.
I have hope-yes, but not in this world kind of hope. Hope for eternal life that will not have wars and hate and people being mean because you have a mask on. My husband was the target of someone who was showing his stupidity-yes-I can say it because this person was mean. Of course it happened in Walmart-where else?? I have had someone come up to me and cough hard in my face because I'm wearing a mask.
What is the reason for all of this hatred and bad manners?
One of the very saddest things about the past two years is that no longer can we call the US united. We are not. I wish just posting photos and saying words would cure this awful thing that's happening. But it will not.

I ask anyone who will listen-
please make a point of being kind on purpose to someone you encounter.
It makes a difference.
It really does.

Sorry y'all had that happen

Actually, deliberately coughing in somebody's face, sounds like simple assault from what I was told assault degrees are. Scary.
I back away when somebody deliberately moves to get too close to me. The majority times felt like the person wanted to cause a ruckus, displayed bullying body language.

Bullies appear to rule at many levels.

I pray for them.

We all need to work better at being kind, and also important (in my opinion) listening-that has gone by the wayside lately-many are in their own heads that they are right-always right -no discussion period-when and where did this all start?
we are back to cold again brrrr stay warm there hugs

I don't think it is bad etiquette to write what you are feeling on your blog. We are in terrible times. People have literally lost their minds. I will tell you this, if someone comes up to me and coughs in my face. I am punching them in theirs. andddd that is not bad manners, that's protecting myself. People have always been this way but they mostly kept it to themselves. It wasn't until trump who gave everyone permission to act a fool and it doesn't matter who it hurts. Mr. M. and I have carved out a safe corner in our little part of the world. We all have to have a sanctuary to come too. Blessings to you.

The only thing each of us can do is make our little corner of the world as good as we possibly can. I hope your robins will be back soon. The picture is a forever favorite of mine. I love that it is looking over your magnificent gardens. Take joy. Spring is coming.

We are not always aware of the way our actions can affect others, but even so small a thing as a smile can make someone's day better. I wish our leaders would influence our world for the better by refraining from attacking others and encouraging division. We need to be working together for a better world. So much we can't control, but as you mention, kindness has an impact.

You and Jenclair both said what I think and could not have said better. We have been without TV for a couple of days and I was shocked at how much damage has already been done in Ukraine. I fear we will never see a better world in my lifetime.

BTW, I think of you often since moving here and having a great friendship with a rooster...Hector, lol.

I think you feel so much better if you are kind to someone. I cannot understand the kind of person who would cough in someone's face on purpose.

Debra, I feel for you and the crap (yes, I used that word) you have had to endure. However, please don't think you have to apologize for your feelings or what you want to write on your blog. Please be aware there are others who feel exactly the same way as you.

My heart aches for Ukraine. They have worked so hard to be an independent country. I think Putin believed he would be welcomed with open arms, but is now learning that is not the case. I believe the entire world with the exception of Iran and China (and Trump) are praying for the Ukrainians. Nice how you can turn this heartache into a very positive post, too. Bless you dear.

Oh Debra I am so sorry anyone would mistreat you and your hubby. It is just hard to imagine that people would be so disrespectful. Believe me dear friend I join you in praying for Ukraine. Just keep "looking up" He is near and He hears us when we cry out to Him.
Thank you for always being there for me...you are such a treasure. Will email you soon. Hugs!

It’s happening again, I missed that you posted. I don’t know why, I check my Reading List for what’s new every day. Your post speaks volumes for everyone. There is so much concern for the future. Most of us will never be here to see the worst, but the world’s descendants probably will. So sad to imagine.
