I made a pattern and then made some packets to paint on or put my paintings on. I will send them with happy mail.
Drawing-I'm working at getting values right-I am not good at that so I thought working without color would help. This is a drawing I did using a figure from a magazine.
Below: I gathered driftwood from the lake shore. I will use it to make something.
Above: It's a little hard to see, but that's apile of basket willow from our bushes, cut last fall. I will use this to make something too. And below is my girl Sam, who has been eating grass. She poses well!

Shadows on a rock, above. We have been cold here, but it's better than the 20's. Going to be almost 80 on Sunday! Have a wonderful weekend~

Cool idea to make and paint the packets. We just got 10 more lady peacocks to add to the 2 male/female pairs we have. The are so pretty. But they are mean to the chickens, and poop as large as my little dogs. AND they make a strange screech that sounds like the baby is crying. I should talk to Alyssa about getting a goose. We have 21 ducks and 10 new duck babies in the pond, but that is a walk 1/2 way to the other side of the property. Our lives have gone to the birds, lol.

Nice to see Sam enjoying her day! I have that experience with tones or values. I find getting the darks right to be quite an achievement...I like your drawing of a seated lady. Those packets look inviting.

Can't wait to see what you make with the driftwood and willow. We made a willow man for harvest at our church one year, he was about 10ft tall, I loved the process.

OK, Debra. I'm only FOUR days late visiting. Not sure you heard, but I thought my computer had died and I was offline for a full day. Most stressful day in months and months.
Your pockets are clever and your drawings are wonderful. I love how they fit so well in/with the pockets. I especially like the cone flowers. Tones are hard to determine at times. I think your drawing is lovely.
Sam looks extra cute today. She is a beauty and not at all camera shy.
I LOVE the beds you have created and how you have used left over bathroom fixtures. That is really clever. I also look forward to seeing what you do with the driftwood.
