Wonderful things are buried deep sometimes. They need to surface and have light and warmth to come forth into what they were made to be. I know I'm not expressing this very well, but it means something to me to see this one plant blooming its heart out, after so many years in the secret of dirt and roots.
Maybe your heart knows what I'm trying to say.
My beautiful girl, Sam. Her name is Sam Houston, named after a character on the series "Christy."
Have a wonderful week...

I know what you mean. The poppy is so beautiful. Sam is doing so well, she is really old, you have looked after her very well! Hugs, Valerie
Oh Sam is such a sweetie. What a precious friend. I love your poppy too. Yes I understand what you were saying about things being buried for quite some time and then surprise they come forth. Take care - Hugs!
You couldn't choose better subjects for your pictures than Sam and the poppy. I love them both. And, yes, I do understand those feelings you described about the one little lone poppy.
The poppy is pretty but Sam is gorgeous. I invite you to show her for Friday Face OFF.
Oh nI do know what you mean. I love Sam! She really is a beauty and so is the poppy. I don't know a lot about Sam.
