The final bird sketchbook challenge

Gouache over gesso.
I glued wrapping paper over part of the sketchbook paper, also used a gel pen for fine lines.
Tim Holtz phrases were also used.
Gesso is a lot of fun to paint over for gouache.

Yes, definitely “a little bit of everything” and your sweet bird has a look of curiosity. I want to rescue him from the confusion of lines and dashes in every direction. A fun piece, Debra!

Another fun bird..looks like a Starling...evil birds to me, lol. Your bird does not look evil at all.

I agree-they can be pretty awful birds. I heard they will kill baby woodpeckers. We have a few starlings here now-but not a hoard of them-thankfully...
