Thank you for all your comments and concern for my eyes! I don't have cataracks ( I spelled it wrong! 'cataracts'). I went to my doctor yesterday. My eyes are healthy. What I'm experiencing is very large floaters. I've had small ones for ages- I think they're fairly common. But I have mega floaters that are in front of my vision.
It's important to get odd things checked out because of the retina. My doctor is one I've had for over 20 years. He is excellent, so I am not worried. And he said this is all because of aging. I can live with that!
The above three photos finish my work in the art journal. I loved making this book. The following photos are parts of a new (secret) project I am working on. So I'll let you know later on about this one.

I see inklings of a book page, will be looking forward to th finish! Our son has experienced floaters too. We all have them at times, I think, but perhaps some to a more noticeable degree than others.
Good morning Debra, Love seeing your art-and I am loving your slow stitching-I love projects like that hugs Happy Thursday and weekend coming up we are to warm up to the 50s on saturday perfect for fishing on the dock hugs
Good news it is not a major serious issue! It is also good to know about another age related change we have to adjust to.
Very interesting. I like the texture relationships. The fabric is perfect!
I haven't read about your eye problems earlier. Good that it isn't serious. If I understand right I have the same thing or is now seldom. Small black spots float in the eye. The doctor said it happened all old people.
Your pages are wonderful and the textile photos promise more wonders...
Take care and stay well ♥️👍
Fabulous journal pages and I'm looking forward to learning that secret!
Glad it's floaters and nothing more serious. I have one tiny floater in my left eye that will not go away. Always looks like a bug about to go into my eye. A few years ago I got those really big floaters, They looked like wasps flying around. Eye doctor sent me to a specialist. Went several times and he did nothing. The floaters finally went away. Can't wait to see your secret project. Pieces shown look very pretty.
Your secret project has me wondering. I love that sewing is involved! You are a tease, for sure! I have enjoyed seeing your journal pages which do inspire me greatly.
Love your art today. Yes, I had the same thing. I had surgery on one eye to suck the floater out. The surgeon did something wrong and now I have no vision on the outside of my right eye. It has been a battle. Then my left eye got the huge floaters and as long as the retina is ok I will NOT have surgery. Have a good day today.
Thank you so much for this! I will just live with my vision the way it is considering what you had to go through...
Thank you my friend!
Thank you! I'm praying my floaters will fly the coop!
I have a friend who had floaters. She had never heard the word before, so it was new to her when her eye dr. told her. Glad you don't need surgery.
What a wonderful way to complete your junk journal. It turned out great.
As for the secret one, I see fabric, I see what looks like plaster tape, I see hand (or slow) stitching, and I see layering with lace and a doily, all in another hand made journal. You are a real tease and I look forward to seeing what your secret entails.
Ah Debra glad to read that you have a good eye doctor. My mom had floaters later in life and my friend at work has them also. She is 67 - although hers came from being hit in the rear of her car. Wonderful finish to your journal project and I am very excited to see the beginning of your new project. Will be looking forward to seeing more. Hugs!
Anything that makes us worry about our vision is serious. I'm so glad that your eyes have been determined healthy! Age related problems we can deal with. Love the drawings and look forward to more on the secret project!
So happy that there was nothing wrong with your eyes. Thank you Jesus!! I love your work. There are so many beautiful elements to it that I can always find something new. Thank you for showing - and I am looking forward to your next project❣️ God bless you🙏
Lovely, looking forward to what else you do.
beautiful journal pages Debra. I love the use of fabric in journals. Sorry to hear about the trouble with floaters in your eyes... I think I read somewhere that cutting down on protein can help. I am not sure though...maybe you can check this info. Also, do you take eye vitamin supplements, such as lutein, astaxanthin and zeaxanthin?? They might help. Can-C eyedrops are also good for clearing eyes as they are anti-oxidants. You can check the info online or with your doctor. Beacause I am not a medic but I have used these methods and managed to clear the floater problem I had a few years ago.
Thank you for this info! Yes, I am looking into taking vitamins. I eat so healthy basically-but I don't take supplements yet. This problem is telling me I better change that!!!
I wanted you to know how much you have influenced me with your junk journals. Between you and Sirkkis, I created one for my Second Thursday Tutorial. Although mine is nothing like either yours or Sirkkis's, they are what inspired me to make this little book.
Oh dear-I think it is I who should thank YOU! Your blog has helped me so much!
