Mrs. Smythe tells a Story

This is a short story. The grackles are back and busy with nest building. They have been stuffing their beaks with straw and flying off with the straw trailing out behind them.
I scatter corn on the ground by the feeders for them. They are funny birds to watch. They puff themselves up and hold their heads striaght up in the air.
Silliness!

I am going to spy out the nests.

So most Fridays I will post some kind of ~thing~   here that I draw or paint.

Happy Trails to ya!

I've never seen a grackle, Debra, so thanks for drawing this beauty for us. This is wonderful and will make Fridays fun and something to look forward to.

I always thought the grackle and the starling were the same, but just looked them up and they are different birds. I raised a baby starling once and he became the best pet. Thank you for visiting my blog. Hope you're feeling more cheerful...had no idea so many others were in a slump too. I love your drawings.
