Sneaky tulip!

such a pretty flower!

I think this is a parrot tulip. It has never been this beautiful in my garden. I feel like someone planted it while I was sleeping and now I get to look at it!

 I've got just one!
I am excited about the flower, but also about a new(old) direction my painting is taking.
It makes me happy.
I am going back to how I used to paint years ago.
I'm going to try to paint a painting a day.
I'll show you some of them.

Have a good weekend~
Debra

I'm hoping this pop up comment form will help people to be able to comment. I don't know how to fix it.

I don't have as many problems with pop up comments. However, I'm having problems with time management, I fear. That is a stunning tulip. I would love to have a couple of those. You are truly blessed, dear.

Very ambitious to have one painting a day, I wish you luck.

That's a lovely tulip. Tulips are one of my favourite flowers. I am looking forward to seeing your new art work.

I feel as if I am only now coming out of the fog caused by world events which makes me feel more enthusiastic about painting.

Debra, you asked if I have illustrated for children. I have done some story writing and illustration in the past. When I lived in NZ, I worked as a part time freelancer for the Department of Education, in learning media. Mostly readers for primary school kids. Many years ago.

Oh Debra I am excited for your new (old) direction of painting. You never fail to inspire me to paint as well. With gardening, wedding and such have not had as much time as I would like...hoping in the next week or so to get back to doing more of it. What a gorgeous parrot tulip...I had a red one bloom this spring and I don't remember planting it...hmm - maybe God put it there!! Hugs!
