Painting in this style makes me happy.
I've been doing representational painting for as long as I've done this more folky style. Over 40 years. It's very hard to loosen up.
I love the challenge of composition and making the viewer's eyes move through the paintings. And the challenge of color.
Thank you for your visit.
Have a great weekend!

OMGosh! I like these so much. The bird on the post is just brilliant. That cats faces too cute and the hens... really very good. I hope you join me with Friday Face Off tomorrow. These animal faces are perfect for it. Have a great day.

WOW, Debra! I really love all three of your super paintings. The fist is very stylish all ways, and colors just great together. My deep bow! The second is fun and beautiful with harmony colors. Fine! And the last, but as fun as the cat painting, fabulous details!
Happy upcoming weekend xx

Yay, Debra is REALLY back now! We all must take a necessary vacation at times, but I’m glad yours is over! This is your style, the one I fell in love with some time ago, FOLK ART in all its glory!

I am loving those dots! And your more folky style! Since others are choosing favorites, I will too. The third one really pulls me into it..."Making the viewer's eyes move through the painting." And, you were definitely up to the challenge when it comes to color.

I love your whimsical folky-style paintings, Debra. The spotted birds in what I imagine to be the kitchen especially make me smile.

I am so sorry to be late visiting. Each of these paintings is beautiful. I especially love the bird and the pot in the first painting, but that is because it is so different from the last two, which impress me in their own right. Such wonderful art, so colorful, and such great composition. You definitely have a great eye for color, too. All are brilliantly done, dear Debra.

Wow and wow...you have certainly been busy and I love all three. Being a cat lover - the second one is my favorite. It is so good to see you happily creating. I know more is to come. Always stay true to your vision and listen to your heart...it won't steer you wrong. Hugs!
