Happy New Year!

Oh my, this has been a busy season for us.
Happy times
Some scary times with health issues for both my husband and I.
But God has been merciful-
Oh how merciful...

I am thinking of ways to give myself an education in art making. I think one of the best ways is to just play and draw and paint.
My blog friends who do art journaling and digital art and making with their hands are on the right path. I have been so busy....

It is time to sit with a sketch book or sheet of scrap paper even, and just make art...
I am itching to get back to making books and do more art journaling.
Above is some pen and ink work with white jelly roll ink.
The owl says, Happy New Year my friends!

Hoping your health is on the mends now-hugs. I love your art work!
I am still wanting to learn how to draw and to paint better-something I just never tried to do before-even as a kid we never drew much.
Just ordered a new book to me on drawing that a blog friend recommended and I have watching videos on craftsy too. Happy New Year my friend

Oh, wow on your art piece! I love the owl! I actually love all owls...the kind that go whooo-whooo in the night and the kind that were created from the imagination like yours. I am sure 2023 is going to be a great year for making art, so yay for you! Happy New Year to all of you...Please tell Sam!

All the best wishes for the new year to you and your loved ones.
You drew a wonderful picture. I like it. At first I thought it was pressure, e.g. high pressure.
Have fun with your further work. I look forward to seeing some. I also have many projects in mind. Well then, get to work :-))) and have many fun with it.
Hug

Happy New Year, Debra. I do love this owl picture. I recently signed up to get weekly prompts on drawing - patterns I think. Monday should be my first prompt. I don't know if it's art or not, and I'm not sure I'll have the stick-to-it-ivness to do it every week (or be brave enough to show it on my blog) but it seemed like something to stretch me with pen and paper. Get me started. Your art is so fun. Whimsical and also thoughtful.
