Making time to paint a bit

Quick paintings. Top one done with FolkArt brand acrylic-matte and Blick matte acrylics. Not expensive-but just fine for lots of things.
Above-portraits done with Caran D'Ache Neocolor II Aquarelle. I LOVE these. They are like crayons that turn into watercolors when you use a wet brush. The pigments are very rich. These are worth using.

Barn owl done with the Neocolors.

I hope your week is going well.
We have spring like weather here. Rain, and in the forties.
And winter has only just begun...

Very nice. The Neocolors look good, the way they move on the paper. Adding them to my DBlick wish list for February.

Spring like here as well. Deceiving though. I sat outdoors to have brunch, fresh air, relax some the other day. I lasted about two bites and a sip before going inside. It was too chilly.

I like your owl. I have the Caran Aquarelles, they are good. It has been very cold here today.

Oh how I am enjoying seeing more of your paintings here! Your portrait paintings are wonderful and interest me so much. I have played around with watercolor crayons and thought they were great fun. I may have to give these a try. And I do love Barn Owl.
I am enjoying this little streak of spring-like weather. I like walking over the hill in a light jacket. Hilltop Post

Ooooh... I like those portraits too. Thank you for sharing what you used. I checked them out immediately. :) We have enjoyed spring like weather here too - for nearly a week. Huh - I just checked the forecast and it appears our warm (for Indiana) weather may last through the first half of January. It's also supposed to rain a lot. That's different, but what a relief that it doesn't look like it will be snow or ice. :)

This is a generic copy and paste because I have so many I need to visit. I have been offline since early Tuesday morning. Not only did I lose internet and phone, I also lost heat and electricity. Thank goodness for extra blankets, layering, and two very warm fur babies. Just wanted you to know why you haven't heard from me. I especially LOVE the owl.

You have a great style.
We have a holiday today; it ends the Christmas season and normal January continues... let's see what happens...
Wishing you are well and productive with your art xx

Debra all of your art is wonderful. I especially love the portraits. The bleeding of the colors makes it feel so fresh and alive. Glad to read that you are having spring weather. Is it not great after the harsh winter storm that hit at Christmas??
