Woodies

More work with the Neocolors and some kid's crayons too. The crayons made these days aren't as good as they used to be. And they don't smell good either. I thought they'd be fun to play with, and they are.

I'm still going through health issues, and honestly I can get very depressed at times. I have found making myself do even a little art every day has helped.
This ordeal has made me much more compassionate for people who have health problems. I have been so used to being healthy and not even thinking about how I feel.

Thank you for your visit today-it means so much to me.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Very nice. Woodpeckers don't get the attention they deserve. They brighten up the bird feeder.
Health issues are a nagging misery if we don't have things to do that lift our spirits. As we age, the changes we have to deal with are a bother.

Prayers for your health

Ah sweet friend sorry to read that you are still not feeling like yourself. So often it is easy to feel down when our health is compromised.
Your woodpeckers are absolutely adorable. I have a whole flock of these that have came to stay in our woods.
Years ago they would occasionally visit in the spring and then fly away - now they are permanent residents - makes me happy!
Please take care of yourself dear one and know that I am praying for you. Hugs!

I am in love with your woodpeckers! Really I am and need a couple of my own. I have one in the backyard that visits the feeders every day. I didn’t know that they did that. I am so enjoying your art, and hope you will keep on creating these amazing works.hilltop Post

Oh, I like those woodpeckers, Debra. And I'm feeling you on the health front, and how it can help us to be more compassionate about other's limitations. With several health detours this past year, I'm trying to motivate myself to see 2023 as a year to get stronger from lessened activity 2022 forced upon me.

I am so very sorry for your health issues. It is not fun at all on so many levels. No one knows how you are feeling even if you try to explain it. You know I am right there with you. Sending healing energy to you. I love these Woodpeckers. I agree crayons are NOT as good as they once were but you made them work. Have a great day today.

I have NO idea how I missed this. Probably when I had no electricity and heat.

I have some kid's crayons, but they certainly don't work like YOURS. I also love the Neocolors.

I am so sorry to read you are depressed. It can take over at any time, especially if you are struggling with health issues. Just remember that you are loved, dear Debra.
