Hello friends!

My word-Blogger is weird today. Different way to upload photos.
I'm still playing with Derwent water soluble pencils. They are fun for loose drawing.
Loose painting and drawing is so popular now. Lots of YouTube artists are teaching how to loosen up. It's a beautiful way to do art-but very hard for me.
I love naive art, folk art, children's art. But also abstract and realistic or representational art.
The important thing is to just keep the sketchbooks filling up, and the paints being used.
I hope you have a grand day!

I say, grand drawings! The donkey. middle drawing, gives me the feeling he has something to say. lol

Yesterday filled my drawing wish list on Dick Blick. I have upholstery fabric to make a drawing bag to keep with me for daily drawing.

Ah Debra what fun. Love your whimsical style. You are so right that the important thing is to keep filling up sketchbooks. It is fun to experiment there with different artist tools. Your Derwent water soluble pencils look like great fun. Have a great week sweet friend. Hugs!

I love your whimsical style, too, Debra. I'm not sure what looser means, but I've been tapping into "slow" or "mindful" drawing recently. It doesn't look very art-like to me, but it gets me repeatedly pulling out art supplies (and not putting them back away where I don't see them) so that's movement in the right direction. :)

I've been trying for over two weeks to leave you a comment. This is the first time the comment box has shown up. Not sure why this happened. I've had it happen before, but that was at least two or more years ago.

I think your drawings are quite charming. I was drawn to the chicken and the donkey. I like your looser style and your charming animals. I hope you are continuing to fill your sketchbook on a daily basis.

Ohh.. I have missed this post. Your Derwent-paintings are great.
I have Derwent Inks and water soluble pencils, too. They works well.
I wish your weekend is great xx

I’m with you Debra, drawing loosely, actually in any way, is hard for me.
