In winter...

 Acrylic on cradled wood.

The snow is pretty but we have had enough of winter.
We have a few bunnies that we watch from our warm and cozy house.
I put out veg peelings-I think they have eaten them, or something else has.
There are also mysterious large dog prints that I have been seeing for a long time. It's one dog, and it just walks along our paths.
I actually think it's a wolf.

There are no loose dogs in our area.
But lots of wild animals.
It is a lovely place to be.
Even in winter...

How lovely, Debra! The bunnies are a peaceful surprise. They lend that kind of quiet feeling to the entire piece. I can almost hear the snow falling!

Hi - waving from Ontario, Canada - paying you a return visit and I will be back. I can't paint, other than with fabric, so I admire what you're doing.

Oh Debra...your painting is so lovely. You know how to make a winter so cozy. A wolf? I know many years ago I saw one close by in the morning. At first I thought it was my German Shepherd at a distance but it was not because he was by my side. We have lots of bunnies too. It actually got to 53 degrees today...some serious snow melting took place. Well take care and have a wonderful Valentine's Day. Hugs!

I love your painting, Debra. And your description of where you live. I think I might enjoy experiencing your winter animal visitors. Our visitors here in winter are only birds. Pretty cardinals and blue jays, but still... nothing quite as exciting as a wolf. :)

Your painting and description capture winter’s quiet beauty perfectly. Watching the bunnies from the warmth of your home sounds peaceful, and those mysterious tracks add a touch of intrigue to the season. It’s wonderful to hear you appreciate the wildness around you, even in the cold.

That is a really lovely painting. I especially like the light on in the house. This piece really captures winter, but like you I am ready to move on. And I wonder if that track is coyote. I know the ones here in NH are large and can be often mistaken for wolves.

Beautiful snowy scene. You asked if you could paint a stove from a photo on my blog, yes you may, I will be pleased to see it.
