Pencil party

This is for Paint Party Friday-
not exactly Friday yet, and not exactly a painting,
but that's all I did this week.
Outside was sunny and warm so that's where I was.

I didn't have a model of course, or a photo so this came from my head and I know there's stuff wrong. I fixed some, but I could have done much more to make the proportions right, and I know that. Such as it is- I know I learned a lot from doing it, and that's what counts.
I hope she doesn't squeeze that poor bird...

  1. It's a great drawing Debra. I'm sure she won't squeeze too hard. Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie

  3. I love visiting your pencil party! Your drawing is wonderful, and I don’t see a need for different proportions. I love her eyes, looking full of wonder at the bird she is lucky enough to be holding! A bit eerie that you drew for this week. I have spent since yesterday thinking about drawing! I may watercolors on whatever I draw. I even made some cotton linters paper today to draw on. I have no idea if this will work! But we have to give ourselves a break from painting.

  6. Out in the sun is where I would have been too. We have had rain and wind all week! Maybe a break in the clouds tomorrow. I really need to see the sun. Your drawing is really good. You're an artist, and talented. There are two artist in my family, a first cousin, and a nephew. Both of them have gifted me with a painting, that I appreciate so much.
